Change.
By itself, it’s a vague term.
Change can move us forward. Change can make things better. Change can help us become more productive. Change can even make us happier.
But the opposite can be true too. It can be difficult. It can sometimes make things worse. And there are plenty of times when we’re not very happy going through change.
We usually need some help if we want to make change happen successfully.
Change is everywhere, all the time, and the workplace needs more changemakers. But there aren’t enough people who do this for a living by bringing together skills, experience, capabilities, and the right mindset.
So where does that leave us?
It means that almost every leader, manager, and supervisor (and many individual contributors) will be put in the position of changemaker (or change agent, creator, leader, mobilizer, activator) … perhaps willingly, perhaps not. And often times, with very limited support.
To be successful, most will need some help. And there’s a shortage of help out there. This is why I’m doing this.
I do believe you can do this.
Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me. I hope this blog is helpful.
It’s change o’clock somewhere.
